Wednesday: Homelink 2-3
Thursday: Homelink 2-4
Spelling:
Please make sure your child is practicing the words throughout the week. If you do not wish to use the packet, but instead have a method that works better for you child feel free to use that method.
Other:
Please have your child read for 15 minutes every day. It is also helpful if they practice math facts a couple of times during the week. Addition and subtraction facts should be review, and we have started some work on multiplication and division facts.

Math:
-Monday: Homelink 1-11
-Tuesday: Homelink 1-12
-Wednesday: Practice test will be sent home (Do as much or as little as you feel necessary. I won't be checking them. This is just to help your child prepare for the test on Thursday.)
-Thursday: We will not have home because they will be taking the Unit-1 test.
Spelling:
I will send home the spelling packet. If your child would benefit from practicing the words a different way, that is good for me. They goal is for the children to master the list. Do what is best for your child.
Other:
Please have your child read for 15 minutes each day and study math facts at some point during the week.

I do not want the homework to take too long or to be a struggle for anyone. Our goal is about 30 minutes a night. If your child is having a hard time or coming to tears please feel free to not finish the work. Homework is not graded. I give it to reenforce what we are doing in class and as another piece to see what areas the children are still struggling with, not to give frustration to you or your children.

We are starting a new spelling program this year. If it is ready to launch this week I will go over the homework routine with the students.
Important Information:
-Monday: No school. Enjoy the day off!
-We will be taking the STAR Math and STAR Reading assessments Wednesday and Friday. This is one factor that will help me gain a better understanding of where your children stand by showing me some of their strengths and some areas that they might need more help. This will help me better reach each student in his or her area of need.
